L:  How has your week been?

F:  My week has been pretty crazy. Mostly all work related. We are doing a photo shoot this week for our website and other things and it has been pretty amazing. Also, I saw the comedian / motivational speaker Kyle Cease on Wednesday night.

L:  What are you most looking forward to about being home for Christmas?

F:  Oh there are so many things! I am so excited to see all of my little cousins and how much they have grown. I am looking forward to some quality family time – especially with my sister. Also, it is Albert’s first official Christmas with the Feighan family so that in itself is pretty darn exciting. I am not looking forward to the cold, but that is part of the whole experience.

L:  Did I tell you I bought a ticket to visit you for New Year’s?

F:  Did you buy it!? That is so exciting.  I am so happy you are coming to stay with me!  We will have to start planning.

L:  How’s your new haircut?

F:  I like it a lot. It is short but not too short.  You know how I feel about getting haircuts – I hate them.  This time around was such a pleasant experience. Let’s go while you are here!

L:  Who framed Roger Rabbit?

F:  I don’t know anything about that or what that means.

I have always loved pictures. I love looking at them, taking them and receiving them. I almost always save my favorite pictures that people text me. Here are some of my favorite pictures lately. Thanks everyone who sent them to me. Keep ’em coming!

Late last night we landed in Denver airport to begin our holiday season with Thanksgiving in Boulder.  I am so happy to be in a sunny place with fresh mountain air.  It is always so nice to be back in Colorado; it is such a special place at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains where you can have good food, find great company and chill.  I will admit, however, that it is completely freezing here!  Bye, bye California!

L:  Do you have a go-to cure for boredom?

F: I went to an event last night and there was a question of the day. The question was: Which vice would you like to give up for 30 days? I wrote feeling bored. Lately I have gotten into the habit of bordem. I think it is all a state of mind – a perspective. Usually, I do something I have never done before to rid myself of the habit.

L:  Will you be doing any cooking for Thanksgiving with Albert’s family?

F: I am so excited to go back to Boulder. I always love to be there. I hope to help with some of the cooking, but I haven’t been assigned anything yet. More to come…

L:  If you could only have one, would you rather have a bathtub or fireplace in your house/apt?

F: Now THAT is a question! If I could only have one and environmental resources we not at stake, I would certainly choose a bathtub. I love a good bath.

L:  What has been the best part of your week so far?

F: On Thursday morning some of my friends and I went on a 7am hike in the mountains. It is always so nice to spend time with other women and really talk things out. I loved it.

L:  Have you heard any good new music lately?

F. Nothing too new lately, however I have been listening a lot to the “Easy Beat” album by Dr. Dog. It is just forever giving.

Listen here.

Making art is never a waste of time.

Be yourself to the fullest – everyone else is taken.

Taking a break or stepping outside during work can change your entire day.

Stretch in the morning.

Keep being curious and don’t stop reading.

Everyone is beautiful.

Never underestimate the power of a good night sleep.

A seafood dinner can heal all wounds.

DIVING into three books at the same time: Skin Cleanse, Inner Gym (both pre-releases by friends) and Men, Women and Children.

FOCUSING on trying to meditate every single day and incorporate more cardio and sunlight into my daily life.

REFLECTING on this year and how fast things change, how permanent those changes can be and how exciting the rest of my life is going to be.
